Paul, I wouldn't wait on removing the forwarding feature. It may take another period of time beyond that of waiting for the DNS to propagate. -Bob Cozzi www.RPGxTools.com RPG xTools - Enjoy programming again. -----Original Message----- From: web400-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:web400-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Paul Tuohy Sent: Wednesday, December 07, 2005 10:55 AM To: Web Enabling the AS400 / iSeries Subject: Re: [WEB400] Apache configuration question OK, I take that back. I found the A records and the CNAME on Domain Direct (sheepish grin). I am setting up the A record - since it is a static IP address that I have. It says it will take up to 3 hours to apply. I assume I can disable the Domain Forwarding when the A record is set up? Thanks to everyone - I have learnt something new today :-) Regards Paul Tuohy ComCon +353 1 282 6230 www.comconadvisor.com ----- Original Message ----- From: "Paul Tuohy" <tuohyp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: "Web Enabling the AS400 / iSeries" <web400@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, December 07, 2005 4:33 PM Subject: Re: [WEB400] Apache configuration question > OK, I don't see anything on Domain Direct that allows me to specify a > CNAME or A record. > > I do have "Advanced Options" that allow me to specify my servers - but I > guess that means that I would need to be running my own DNS. > > I am having a look at ZoneEdit (thanks Nathan) > > Regards > > Paul Tuohy > ComCon > +353 1 282 6230 > www.comconadvisor.com > > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "David Gibbs" <david@xxxxxxxxxxxx> > To: "Web Enabling the AS400 / iSeries" <web400@xxxxxxxxxxxx> > Sent: Wednesday, December 07, 2005 3:23 PM > Subject: Re: [WEB400] Apache configuration question > > >> Paul Tuohy wrote: >>> I have a registered domain which I want to forward to an IP address. >>> It works fine but the resulting URL shows the IP address as opposed >>> to the domain name.
