/QIBM/UserData/WebAS5/Base vs All Application Servers tab of http administration -- WEB400

In my All Application Servers tab of my http administration I have 3 
servers listed:  default/server1, IBMTEST/IBMTEST, WAS5Portal/WAS5Portal.
In my /QIBM/UserData/WebAS5/Base directory I see:
default 
remote 
IBMTEST 
WAS5Portal

Is remote some sort of IBM service thing, or is using this as a list of 
what is on the admin all servers tab a bad idea?
