I don't think Scott is implying that there's some magical installation process 
that is missing or didn't happen. What he's suggesting is to use the ADDLNK 
command to create an alias for it.

Thanks for your response Scott.  I have verified that I have that member.  Can 
you tell me what installation is supposed to created the symbolic link?  My

On my system, /QIBM/include/sqlcli.h is a symbolic link to 
/QSYS.LIB/QSYSINC.LIB/H.FILE/SQLCLI.MBR

(which is another way of saying the SQLCLI member in a file called H in 
the QSYSINC library)

You might want to check if you have that member.  If so, you could copy 
from it instead of the /QIBM/include directory.  Or, you could just 
symlink to /QopenSys/usr/local/include instead of copying...
