Jim, You may want to take a look at the authority for /www. It's *RX for *PUBLIC on our systems here but *EXCLUDE on the server roots. Also, QTMHHTTP has *RWX on /www and all lower level directories. The shipped example /www/apachedft... had *RX. So I changed what the wizard created & then retried wizard server create - it worked. My authority (to sign on Admin) & QTMHHTP were both already *rwx. There was a stop & start of Admin in there at some point, but I'm guessing *public must be at lead *rx.
