Mike,

We've tried hard to maintain backward compatibility, including maintaining previous service program signatures when a new signature is generated due to adding or modifying the exports list.

I think I goofed once when going from version 2001-05-31 17:11:26 to 2001-09-11 17:00:13. So if your current version is 2001-09-11 17:00:13 or later, I don't believe you will have problems with the service program's new signature.

If run into a signature problem (you probably won't) after upgrading, you can rebind any programs experiencing the problem. After replacing service program CGISRVPGM2 in your CGI library, set your current library to your CGI library (where your programs and the CGISRVPGM2 service program reside) and run the following command:

  UPDPGM PGM(YouCgiLIb/YourCgiPgm) MODULE(*NONE)

It's been a long time since we've updated out version of the CGIDEV2
library, mainly because we've developed almost 100 apps using it and
were concerned that loading the latest version may corrupt what we've

wondering if it's safe to simply download the latest version and load
it.

If so, where exactly does one get the latest version of CGIDEV2 these
days?
