WinRoute isn't free but the 30 day trial is www.kerio.com. As I recall it uses a proxy for outbound traffic. It seems that using an HTTP proxy is not all that difficult, even at the sockets level, but in order to be sure of that, I need to get an HTTP proxy working. Does anyone know of a free HTTP proxy server for Windows? It doesn't need a lot of features, just basic proxy stuff. My guess is that it will only require one extra parameter (the addr/port of the proxy server) to get this all to work, but I need to know the exact protocol. The easiest way to figure that out is to get one working and trace it with ethereal.
