have you tried the QfileSvr.400 directory ? 
just make a directory for your remote system .

mkdir  /qFileSvr.400/rmtsys

you can find an example in the ifs.savf at  

http://www.abvv.be/code/en/fram099.htm

I don't know if it can be used with a browser .

Does anyone know if there is a way to expose a directory of files on the IFS
to another AS/400 using SNA?
Without using a file transfer method like SNDNETF.
Without starting TCP over SNA.
I am investigating doing this with DDM now, DDM does not seem to work on
stream files?
