When I was testing things out I did not run this particular configuration.
I ran WAS on a PC and accessed the iSeries from that.  Worked just fine.  I
suspect you will have the same results.

If you already have WAS running on a box you are over the hard part.  Run
the WebFacing tool over some small subset of your application and deploy the
WAR file.  WebFacing is trivially easy.  Trying it will take less time than
pondering it.
