Morning,

         Have a customer who called this morning with an interesting question.

         They are installing Showcase on an 830 V5R1 system.

         They have been working with both IBM & Showcase Technical support
for a number of days, NO JOY !

         They are being told they have a corrupted JAVA install / PTF
???  Which I find hard to believe since a major Websphere
         subsystem/application that is totally in Java continues to
function cleanly on the same box/lpar.

         The issue is (I am told) a failure to start on a code-1.

         I will get my first look at the issue Friday morning, but was
wondering if any of you have
seen / lived through this already and know of a quick fix ?
