Try the numeric address. I think it's not finding your SMTP server by name.

No, I didn't use the numeric address. No, it never came up. Couldn't
find anything in the joblog or httperror log.

Maybe hung up trying to resolve the SMTP server...did you use the numeric
IP address in the DTW_SMTP_SERVER statement in case it can't resolve? Does
the page ever come back? Anything in the joblogs of the HTTP jobs?

Well, screen simply froze, and nothing happened. I couldn't find any job
in QHTTPSVR subsystem looping or even in RUN or DLYx status.

Could you elaborate? Did you get a different error message? I'm not sure
what you mean by "...not moving at all."

No, that didn't seem to work. It actually made things worse by not moving
at all.

It's a stab in the dark, but you could try adding this to your INI file,
although it should not be required:

<quote>
DTW_SMTP_SERVER: E-mail SMTP Server Variable
Specifies the SMTP server to use for sending out e-mail messages using the
DTW_SENDMAIL built-in function. The value of this variable can either be a
host name or an IP address. If this variable is not set, Net.Data uses the
local host as the SMTP server.

Syntax:

DTW_SMTP_SERVER [=] server_name

Where server_name is the host name or IP address of the the SMTP server
that is to be used for sending e-mail messages.

Performance tip: Specify an IP address for this value to prevent Net.Data
from connecting to a domain name server when retrieving the IP address of
the specified SMTP server.

Example:

DTW_SMTP_SERVER 9.5.34.5
</quote>

Is e-mail otherwise working on this system?

I am receiving the following message, when using the @DTW_SENDMAIL
command.,

NET.DATA Error: Function call to DTW_SENDMAIL failed. Error Number is 7001.
(SMTP-REPLY-CODE=250)

>From what I've found, STMP-REPLY-CODE=250, means that the command ran
successfully.
Can anyone assist me with why I would get this message for no errors
occurring, and how I can fix this.

thanks
