The macro code to generate the list as well as the macro code to process the
list is verbose.  To my knowledge, Net.Data doesn't offer adequate support
for "subfiles".

Of course not. Net.Data knows nothing at all about the surrounding code. It
just picks its parts of the "soup" and removes them and sends the rest to
stdout. That's what makes it extremely powerful. I create html pages with
Net.Data in batch; i can imagine a CL companion that is able to update
files on the fly (due to the built-in SQL interface).

The HTML looked good to me.

I try to have http://validator.w3.org saying the same for all my pages; but
i don't succeed every time...

However, imbedding macro code
inside HTML makes both types of code harder to work with, which is another
common complaint with Net.Data.

Yes, and it's one reason for it's success and the success of php, asp and
so on.

If i have the choice between RPG with HTML inside and Net.Data _only_, i
prefer Net.Data. ;-)

I'll try to work up an alternative example to show you.

Great! That surely would make a good example on Relational Web's site, too,
wouldn't it?
