The problem is, the pbA server on the iSeries is just as bad
or worse than Classic.  From it's inception to V4R5 I had
zero.. count them... ZERO problems with the Classic server.

Once IBM seems to have "rewritten" it using Java and
whatever else did the problems arrive.  Breaking something
that worked flawlessly is one of my pet peves.. and I do it
as well with my own software once in a while, but at least I
fix it right away.  :)

If they could make 270s as affordable as (what's the
latest... a 3ghz machine?) then running multiple small
AS/400s would be the key.  If only to keep our CGI apps
running nativley.  But, that will never happen.  (Trying to
jinks it so someone can say "I told you so!")

The processing power of PCs and a small AS/400 is getting
closer.. it's the OS that makes the difference these days.
