I am not sure were to look for this issue, so could someone please send me
in some direction.

Here's the story - on our AS/400, a customer can sign on over the internet
and maintain their
suggested retails. We are on V5R1. This is a pure CGI environment with the
classic web server.

They can change customer number/check which zones to maintain/search by
catalog/item/do single
item changes or mass changes by catalog header; these go into a work file by
userid, so they can
apply or cancel the changes.

We have what is called a default zone, a customer has a custom zone which
they maintain.

Today I had a customer that when they went into it, it was like his customer
zone records did not
even exist/even more bizarre was if I hit the web from in-house, I got the
same results.

Now we get even odder, I ended the service, and re-started it.

Go back into the SRP maintenance, and all is fine now -

It is almost like I have file pointers that are REALLY messed up on my web
jobs -
of course this only happens to the live side, with me starting 6 instances
and a max of 20,
so doing a debug is nearly futile.

Any thoughts as to what I may have missed in this undertaking.
I know it is something little and stupid, but I am not sure what that would
be.
I set on LR for each cgi program (and there are many) - they all assume
nothing
coming in, so all files get positioned/even some ovrdbf if user is a demo
customer.

We are current on PTF's/ are my instances too high, should I "re-boot" the
server nightly?
I know this is rather general - if it is my code then I did some green
screen snafu, but I am
hoping that I just messed up the server (though I followed most other
examples - it works fine,
except for this thing since V5R1.)
