If you can generate the pdf file, (and there are plenty of free or low cost utilities to do that on the 400 - see midrange-l), then you could send an email from the 400 with that as an attachment. One favored utility is SENDEMAIL by David Leland. Currently downloadable from NEWS/400's website. I am not sure which version is there. I am using a version which works quite well with attachments. Basically uses the api QtmmSendMail with some gyrations to get the attachments working.
