I found the error log (thanks to you) and didn't see anything that might be useful.

But... I did wipe RDi and try again. This time I did two things differently.

1) I unzipped the patch archives in their own directories.
2) I unchecked the checkbox on the Install New Software option to not "Contact all update sites".

Then RDi and the patches installed with no crashes.

However, the iSphere install is still failing. Not sure what's up with that. I used the same method for installing it as I did for the patches. I think there is something wrong with the archive.

Thanks for your help Chris. I consider this a success.

What errors were in the log for the crashes?

If you download each patch and uncompress them to their own folder.
Add each patch folder as a local update site into RDI.
Disable all other update sites.

Then, you should be able to perform the same install as generating a combined/composite update site.

I find the composite update site easier to manage when doing local updates.
Keeps everyone on the same version of updates and plugins.
