The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

I'm afraid I don't know how to access the error log.
I did not unzip the patch archive files before using them. Perhaps that would help. "Archive" is a valid choice when specifying an update source.
I'm willing to retry a fresh install as many times as it takes to figure out how to do an actual error-free install of RDi.
Doesn't seem like it should be rocket science. Regarding the update site... I've consistently received terminal errors when trying to access the update site. When I've posted about it here... on multiple occasions... no solution was reached. This is why I'm downloading the update archives.
Thank you for your reply Chris.

What errors were in the log for the crashes?
If you download each patch and uncompress them to their own folder.
Add each patch folder as a local update site into RDI.
Disable all other update sites.
Then, you should be able to perform the same install as generating a combined/composite update site.
I find the composite update site easier to manage when doing local updates.
Keeps everyone on the same version of updates and plugins.
