The Repository is quite large, and it does time out.
The fastest way to 9803 is to install 9800 then check for updates. That will take you directly to 9803.
It may still timeout, but you would only have one timeout instead of 3.

I took a machine and installed RDi fresh. No workspace to worry about.
I installed the base 9.8.0.0. Then I installed the three updates 9.8.0.1, 9.8.0.2, and 9.8.0.3.
I think I got those numbers right.
At any rate... I installed the updates using the "install new software" option in RDi. In the process of installing each update... RDi crashed like six times on each update. What gives? I had to keep trying until eventually it said it was successful.
