Re: IBM Rational Developer for i 9.8.0.3 fixpack is now available!

Hi,

with the availability of RDi 9.8.0.3 and the latest compiler PTFs I updated my compiled list of RDi 9.8 tips and tricks that piled up since the first beta.

I decided to post it to the TechXchange community:

The latest addition is the option to speed up the compiler error list view using the latest compiler PTFs and the QIBM_RPG_RNF7031_EVENTS environment variable.

Thanks for keeping RDI in sync with latest TR enhancements !
Is there a linux version coming with this fixpack ?
We have three licences on ubuntu, so we stick to 9.6 version, but we still pay maintenance with the hope to have an update for our OS.

To be fair, I use RDI 9.8 with linux+wine , it works but it is slow with a lot of glitches
Our dev application environment will stay on linux. Would you advise us to start evaluating using virtualbox + windows + 9.8 ?
Or wait for a future native version ?
