The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
First - you need to download the DMG file for the Mac. It I assume that you have done that. The ZIP file is only for windows.
Copy the "IBM Rational Developer for i" app to a folder where you have write permission. It should work from the "Programs" folder, but I had some issues with one Mac during an update - so it's safer to create a RDi or IBM folder inside your user profile folder and copy it there.
Don't copy it to you Documents oder Desktop folder - as those are often synced to iCloud and the massive RDi app will block a lot of space there.
Now you have to allow Apps not only from the App Store but also from "verified developers" in Privacy & Security.
If double-clicking the app doesn't work - do a right-click and select to run it - you will get the choice to allow that specific app to run - next time, it will run without that. But generally double-clicking should open a small window with a warning, that the app is "from the Internet".
The next step should be the Workspace selection window.
If you have any other issues - feel free to send me a PM with a screenshot - maybe I can help.
HTH and kind regards,
Daniel

Hi All,
Just tried installing RDI 9.8 on MacOS 15.
When I go to launch it I get this error:
The Application "IBM Rational Developer for i.app" can't be opened.
This is a Macbook M1 with MacOS 15.1. Rosetta is also installed.
And nothing shows up in Privacy & Security as being at issues.
Thoughts appreciated.
Regards,
Richard Schoen
