Does your company use Zscaler?

RDI 9.8 is bundled with Java.
If your company uses any tool like Zscaler, then you will need to manually add the Zscaler certificate to the java key store.

Close RDI.

Download a copy of the Zscaler root certificate.
I found that its easy to export the cert from a browser.
Then save the file to your computer.

Then in a windows command prompt you can run:

"C:\__YOUR_RDI_LOCATION_\IBM Rational Developer for i\jdk\bin\keytool.exe" -importcert -noprompt -trustcacerts -alias zscaler -file "_PATH_TO_SAVED_CERT\zscaler.crt" --cacerts -

Replace "_PATH_TO_SAVED_CERT with where you saved the Zscaler certificate.
Replace "__YOUR_RDI_LOCATION_" with where you put RDI 9.8.

Note, if you used "Program Files" then you might need to run the command prompt as Administrator.

After that you should be able to restart RDI and access the updates.
