I am on 9.8 and have an M1 Mac. I installed within days of it being available. I did have the error message you describe within a day or two of installing; I figured it was because I tried several methods to import from 9.6.

I reinstalled with a clean 9.8 workspace and have been chugging along ever since. I also have it installed on a M1 MacBook and have had no issues.

Well the latest version hasn't been out for two years Art - so are you really using the latest version i.e. 9.8?

I am not on an M1 system, but after RDi 9.8. had been running for a bit, I started to see the error you described. After many abortive attempts at fixing it I had to reinstall 9.8 and (fingers crossed) it has been fine since.

I just drilled all the way down to do a query on compatibility (Hint: Use

And guess what. M1 isn't on the support list. Maybe Rosetta?
