Hi Jeff,
In terms of the RDi 9.6 installation, it will not ‘update’ to 9.8. The
9.8 install is separate from the 9.6 install.
In terms of workspaces, you can open your workspace in 9.8 but then the
workspace will be migrated and probably should not be used in 9.6. So,
make a copy and give it a try in 9.8.
Thanks,

"IBM said "merely updating" was not an option. This is a new version

Meaning all host connections, filter pools, etc are gone?

Thank you sir. I very much appreciate the info. I have not used thattool.
So I'm unfamiliar. But knowing it has that feature is enough. I willfigure
it out. I see that the ability to "save results" must be configured andis
not the default. Looks like this will do the job. Thanks again.Therrien,

ACS SQL Client downloads to excel by right-clicking on the results tab
selecting 'Save Results'. Available for quite some time.open

Not having that problem here. There are some settings for this feature
that may have been lost if you did a clean install. I merely updated and
didn't lose anything: right-click on the output and "Save results" is
for business.

Well yes - I use the iACS run sql script feature.
Essentially because it’s quite good, has a big library of snippets and
can also run CL commands.
With 1.1.9.2 it even can prompt for “host variables” in the statement
like
where table.col = :myVar
OK - this is old for DBeaver, but new to iACS.

For me, RDi was my SQL tool of choice. I had several large "scratch

of three built-in SQL tools. These all seem to be gone.
they would not have removed the feature. What should I be using
I am guessing that this was not the SQL tool of choice for many, or
else
