Jon,

you have to look for the userinstc script - maybe the execution attribute got lost when extracted - then a

$ chmod +x userinstc

may help.

But the first command is important to be executed BEFORE the downloaded archive is extracted - otherwise all extracted files get the „downloaded from the internet“ attribute in macOS - and this results in Gatekeeper being picky executing any of the files.

I don’t have my iMac here because I’m on holidays - but I thought the userinstc script was in the „main directory“ of the extracted archive - but I’m not really sure about this one.

HTH

Since the NDA is lifted after the official release - yes, with IM 1.9.2.2 it is be possible to install 9.6.0.12 on the latest macOS release without big problems.

I had a problem installing IM - but the following tricks helped:

- xattr -c agent….
- ./userinstc -acceptLicense

I only testet user installs. And I only tested on an „older“ 27“ Intel-iMac - so your mileage may vary.

HTH and kind regards,

Thanks Jack and Mike.

I'll give it a try when my patience level is a little higher. Right now I'm just too PO'd to wanna risk another failure.

Already at 1.9.1.5 Mike - that was the only way I could get a clean
install. I did a complete scratch install using the latest IM about 2
months ago after finally giving up on trying to patch what I had. As noted
it was working (and still works) after the Monterey update - it is just IM
that is the problem.
