Thanks for your quick reply.
I did try with the -clean option (and also-clearPersistedState) but no joy.

There are a few things in the error log but nothing related to my plugin.

Well, I'm not sure I'd say I create plugins. I have created one small
plugin.
It's slightly vexing but not the end of the world for me not to have it :-)
