Hi Chris,

We have generated an APAR SE76229 - RDI 9.6.0.11 OPENS EDITOR IN EDIT MODE WHEN IT SHOULD BE BROWSE MODE

The APAR won't be available to subscribe to until IBM approves the full text of the APAR.

If you are interested in a test fix, please contact IBM support with this information.

Thanks!

Subject: [WDSCI-L] RDi 9.6 Fix Pack 11 and Rocket Eclipse Plugin

I've noticed an issue with Rocket's (Aldon) Eclipse Plugin and the new RDI fix pack 9.6.11.

Create a filter over an object that is not checked out.
When you attempt to open that source, it will now default to "Edit" mode for objects that should be "Browse".

If found that opening the same object twice from an Aldon Filter it will set the mode back to browse.
Double click to open once. It in Edit.
Double Click (without closing) to open again. It changes the mode to Browse.

It appears that the new process RDI uses to lock the source member and add the lock image decorator is also changing the mode from Browse to Edit.

I tried two versions of the plugin and both have the same result.

Rocket Eclipse Plug-Ins v 8.2.500
Rocket Eclipse Plug-Ins v 8.2.600
