Debug (launch) configurations work just fine across different servers, (source on one server/connection, object on a different server/connection). However, this only helps if you are launching the job, (rather than using SEP to intercept). And probably no use at all if the job is interactive.

Just thought this might be useful.

A partial solution might be to use Debug Configurations, (mainly for batch jobs). These allow the source to reside anywhere - even on the PC!

True, but I've mever setup a debug configuration for a SEP debug session. I only use debug configurations for Java development.

Perhaps it would be good to associated a debug configuration with a
remote connection?
