Thanks, Edmund!  Yeah, I've gotten that advice (use bash) from a number of people, and I had to learn how to set up my profile to use bash.  Tomorrow I try to walk someone else through it, so we'll see how much I actually internalized. :)

session and an SSH session, and I just flip tabs between them.  Very
