Hi Matt,

You likely have an RSEnnnnnnn temporary member that's trying to reload/save. This occurs when the member is open and disconnects, as part of the two part save.

Compare that with the member that you wanted to save, and if it's the same, delete the RSE* member name.

Generally if the credentials are not present, you should be presented with a dialog to reconnect.

Also, you could export your settings, and try a new workspace. This should clear all of the cached values.

Here are some helpful links:
https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/241703 <- how to clear your cache

https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/6195408 <- if you have a large number of RSEnnnnnnn objects

If that doesn't work, please contact IBM support so we can take a closer look. One of the things we would ask you to look at would be the IBM Server side job to see if another plugin is causing the password issue.

Thanks!

Subject: [WDSCI-L] RSEF1002 error trying to open member

Ever since I upgraded to 9.6.0.9 I have not been able to open a source member on my IBM i. (I'm on a MAC)

I get a password failure:

RSEF1002
Operation failed. File system input or output error Message reported from file system: Password is incorrect.

If I try it multiple times, my profile gets disabled on the IBM i.

I even un-installed and re-installed RDi to see if something got hosed up in the upgrade.

I successfully get the IBM i connection established and verify connection seems mostly fine. Looks like I need a ptf for the debugger and the callbacks were failing before so I know that shouldn't be causing my problem.

I cleared all my cache (I found an old thread on the error and this was the fix) But it is still not opening.

I never check the box at login to save my password. (Though I just did, then took the option to clear passwords but that didn't help)

Does anyone have any suggestions?
