Hi Justin,

One thought is they are placing the cursor in the Option column. This allows users to type in User Action, so it allows users to type characters.

Make sure the user has the cursor position in another column.

More experienced users removed that column using the preferences. By default it is there for new users. The quick way to find the preferences is the down facing triangle on the Object Table toolbar.

Once open, you can remove the option column from the "Selected Columns" side and press Apply. Make sure to change for the Object and Library, as well as the Member type; and after customizing, make sure to apply, then select the menu again and select the menu option "Select Columns" -> then select Customized.

If this doesn't help, please contact IBM support so we can take a deeper look.

Thanks!

Subject: [WDSCI-L] Intermittent Position To

External: Pause and review the sender's email address, any URLs before clicking links, opening attachments, or following requests. When in doubt, contact the Service Desk.

For most of our RDi users, when they start typing in the Object Table view a Position To dialogue appears. We have one user who often doesn't get that dialogue. When I type "ABC", the Postion To appears with "ABC" in the Name box. For him, "A" jumps to the A's in the list, "B" jumps to the B's, etc.

Sometimes it works for him and sometimes it doesn't. Any suggestions?

TIA
