which does let you do SQL to query based on source member and source
file. If the user is editing the source somewhere else than it was
compiled from, I think we can agree that they are out of luck.

That's for program information, I don't think that will help with a
printer
file. The problem here is also that you're starting from the source. It
could be complied as anything so you would have to query every printer
file
to make sure if the source you're editing was used to compile the
printer
file.
