actually it is a perspective - so go to the Window menu and Open Perspective, then Other - you should see PDM in there.

Nice! How do you get to the PDM View?

BTW, I think you can set a keyboard action (or whatever it's called) to do this, too.

Maybe!!

Hi Peter

Hope you get the license soon!

I don't think we can copy anything off the tab.

But I got curious - there's a command line in RDi, and you can get lots of information there. One of the commands is "query", and I found lots of things you can ask for.

To get to that command line, either press F9 or click inside it.

Put a question mark there and press enter to get help text.

So I looked in the help and saw that you can say this -

     query name

The result is the full path of the local copy of the source. Far TMI!

But I looked a little more in the help, and another option is this

     query sourcename

That was pretty cool! I got this -

     sourcename 10.23.50.14:DP2TEST/QRPGLESRC(ECLINT)

I right-clicked on that (IP address, library, file, and member) and got a context-sensitive option to Copy - that's how I got THIS one.

This is WAY too cool, man!

Cheers

Thanks Vern.  I figured that out after seeing a couple of other responses.

I've been using a trial version of RDi, so I may not have the "PDM View".  What I do see is the member name in the tab; not sure if you can copy that.  I can't test because I'm waiting for the permanent license :(

Hi Peter

I think by PDM view he might mean the fairly new view in RDi - it doesn't use SEU. And the name of the member and all is not on the edit pane.

But we need more information, which tool is he really talking about, what are the steps he took to get where he is, all that, right?

Hi Giov,

I'm sure it partly depends on your emulator.  Ctl-C, Ctl-V works fine for me.

If by PDM View, you mean WRKMBRPDM option 2 or 5, both of which use SEU, then the source file and member name are in the top right of the screen.

I'm using TN5250J, and have no problem copying the member name from there.

Thanks in advance
