I'll hazard a guess that those options affect the cached information on the
PC. Remember ACS and RDi tend to cache information on the PC to save
time/keystrokes.

Using ACS as the example, if you use the menu to change the passwords on the
systems in your system configurations (It will do them all at once if you
wish) it also updates the cached information on the PC.

Like Alan, this usually is not a problem for me.

But I looked in RSE, and if you right-click on a connection or one of the
components, such as "Objects" or "Commands" have options like "Clear
passwords", "Clear password", or "Change password" - I don't know exactly
what each does, but the Help for RDi should have more information, too.

Hi Josée
I change ALL my passwords on the first business day of the month
On the iSeries, I use the command CHGPWD
Then, when I sign onto RDi, it asks me for the new password, which I
supply
No problems

I changed my password this morning before starting RDI. When I started
RDI the popup to change my password was just hanging there.

I changed my password back to the original version in green screen , and
restarted rdi, no problem. I was trying to find where to manually change
my password within RDI, found it in Remote Systems/passwords, but, this
also did not work.

I am at 9.6.0.8 version

Anyone else has had this problem?

Josée
