Hi Joep,

We did change the default open action on Error List to honor the Browse Open settings.

No changes were made to the initial sort order. The initial sort column is still Severity, however it doesn't appear to trigger on the initial load.

Please contact IBM support and open a case so we can resolve this issue.

In the meantime, I'd suggest using the down facing triangle on the Error List toolbar, then select "Show Severity", and deselect Information messages. This will get rid of any unused variables annotation messages.

Has something changed in the sorting in the Error List?

After I installed the fixpack it happened several times that I compiled an RPG program, saw no fatal errors in the Error List, but noticed the program hadn't changed. Turned out that there were fatal errors, but I had to page down to see them.

I get the impression that before the fixpack the Error List sorted descending on Severity, so fatal errors were immediately visible; after the fixpack I can see no obvious sorting (none of the visible columns appear to be in a logical order). Clicking on the header of the Severity column brings the fatal errors to the top.

I have been searching for some way to set the default sorting for the Error List, but haven't been able to find anything.
