If using windows, I recommend installing DBeaver from the windows store as administrator. Saves you some hassle from doing the updates all the time.

I love SquirrelSQL myself, use what you like! I had to "tune" SQuirrelSQL for fast startup and remember my Last 9,999 statements.
Plus I used SquirrelSQL for Microsoft SQL.

Microsoft SQL tools are SUPPERIOR to Run ACS Scripts, and other open source sql tools. Just wish it worked on IBM i. <LOL> IBM Data Manager is JOKE!

Which is why we replicate DB2 to Microsoft SQL. They have better tools.
The Java Tool box actually was too slow, and GARBAGED up date. Yes, we confirmed that with IBM. <disappointment> It could not handle an enterprise level of requests.

The Java toolbox works fine on our small mobile phone app however. Very small number of requests...

At least RDI is "catching up" to visual studio. Go RDI!!!!! <Big Proud IBM Smile!>
