Hi Matt,
Thanks for the great input on the Library List. We will be expanding this new view in the future, and as always would love Requests For Enhancements (RFE).
Can I summarize your feedback as follows?
a) Library List Connections dropdown should be ordered with the active connections first, not Alphabetical order
b) Clicking on an inactive connection should not automatically attempt to connect - an action should be required first
c) The Library List Data Table should be on a scrollable pane so the buttons do not move to review the list
d) The Connections list drop down should contain an icon to quickly determine if a connection is connected.
The Connection: drop down is a shared component with the Object Table View Quick Filters. We'd also like to give the ability to connect/disconnect/verify connections from this component. Because of this, we'd prefer to keep all connections.
For a work around for the moving buttons, we did implement a "right-click" menu that has the options for moving the current library, as well as a host of other menu options. As with all of our "right-click" menu options, you can activate it with a Shift+F10 key operation if you don't want to take your hands off your keyboard.
Thanks for helping make RDi better for everyone!

Matt, well put - I think your suggestions merit an RFE. Would you like to submit?
Brian.

This is my user experience of my first use of the Library List View. My intention is to provide feedback where I think improvements can be made.
I click on the view and wait. I see there's an assumption that my first connection is supposed to be up. I get the connection cannot be established message and click ok. Then, I get the enter password dialog. I don't like playing that game. I don't want to be connected to that system. It would require me to start a VPN and I don't need to work there today.
Is there a way in the Connection drop down to only show active connections? Make sense? I don't think I need to know the library list of a connection that is not active.
I select a connection that I know is active. (It still wants to connect to the first connection. I have to answer the nags again and reselect before it shows the intended library list. Finally!) Looks good. It's a long library list. When I scroll down to the bottom, the maintenance buttons disappear. They're locked at the top. If I want to move up or down, I have scroll down, select, and then, scroll back up to click the button.
Is there a way to make those buttons float? Or, perhaps provide those buttons as icons on the toolbar with the Refresh. The toolbar would be visible however far down that I scroll.
That's it. Otherwise it works as advertised. Thank you for RDi and thank for listening to my concerns.
Regards,
Matt Qualls
