That works perfectly (Ctrl-2 or Open New View). Now if I can just remember to do it that was instead of using the Eclipse Menu...

When you are in the source member, you can also right-click, click View, click Open new view. You might be doing standard Eclipse split editor?

The shortcut key displayed is Ctrl+{
