The drop-down list adds previous entries (I assume that's the history in question).
My issue is that the selected values always show the prior compare, which is never what I need (previously, the Right compare had the same values as the Left). I guess it comes down to how you work. If someone wants to do the same compare repeatedly, that would be great for them. For me it's much worse, and I'd remove the update if it was easy to do so.
Me original issue was that the File I wanted to compare was no longer in the drop-down. Defaulting to the Left compare was fine. I could just type the first letter of my File and auto-complete the rest.
I understand you're trying to make everyone happy, which can be an impossible task. I consider iSphere to be an indispensable part of RDi, so many thanks.

Justin,
I changed the compare dialog to store the history values depending on the number of members selected. This way you have different history sets for 0, 1, 2 or 3+ selected members.
Please compare another member and see the history growing.
If that is still not what you like to have, I need some new ideas, because then there are conflicting requests from different users, see
(closed) ticket #74.
The problem is that sometimes people want to keep one or another value depending on what their current work is. So maybe I should add check boxes for "library", "file" and "member" to let the user select which values to remember.
I am a bit lost with that enhancement request.
Any ideas helping to solve that problem are greatly appreciated.
Thomas.

I loaded the update this morning. It now keeps the File for the Right compare, which is new. Unfortunately, it also keeps the Library and Member. I'm afraid this fix is worse than the problem it solves. Previously, I had to enter the File (vitually always the same), but now I have to enter the specify Library and Member.
The original issue came up when I created a new workspace. In my old workspace, the File I almost always use was in the drop-down for me to select. That worked fine. In the new workspace, the File wasn't in the drop-down.
I'm sorry for not being more clear originally.

Great. Thank you
Do you know where the File comes from now?

Justin,
You are correct that "Source -> Compare" is an iSphere option. Sadly the compare dialog does not update the history values. I already changed iSphere to update the history values, so that you will get that feature with the next iSphere version.

Thomas.

I created a new, clean workspace to server as a master, and I always work in a copy. The idea being I can reset to a fresh workspace as needed.
Here's my trouble. In RPG source, when I right-click Source -> Compare** the File drop-down doesn't have the file I want to compare against. How do I get that added? I keep typing it in, but it never remembers. My old workspace did.
** That might be an iSphere option.
TIA
