Steve,
Okay, so I went into the following directory: C:\Program Files\IBM\SDP.
Then I executed: eclipse.exe -clean
That is what I see on my RDi shortcut on my desktop as what executes.
The result is the splash logo flashing on and off, over and over, and the
only way to stop it was to do a reboot.
I am thinking this is not the result we were hoping to achieve, correct?
Best for me to do a complete uninstall of RDi and then start again?
Thanks,
Steve

gone
Hi Steve,
Did you by chance update or install a new plugin since the last time it
worked?
Can you check the .log file for the workspace. See if there are any plug-in
exceptions causing the menu to crash. (IE a new plugin that places a menu on
the help menu could cause the rest of the menu to stop displaying.)
Have you tried a -clean? You do a -clean by adding the " -clean" without the
quotes to the launch install target. This will clean up any cached plugins
that may be causing issues.
If none of those suggestions help, please contact IBM support so we can help
get you back up and running with your plugins.

Subject: [WDSCI-L] RDi Missing Plug-Ins, Help-Install, Marketplace - all
gone
All the time I've run the software never seen this happen. Started up RDi
(currently 9.6.0.5 that has been running on the same Windows 10 laptop for a
year and a half and worked fine on Wednesday) and none of my plug-ins
appeared (iSphere, iRPGUnit, DBeaver, Pathfinder, etc..). Nothing.
I did a shut-down and cold start of my laptop and tried again - same result.
When I select Help, I do not see the many of the options, either. That's
the strange part, those are core (I thought) to RDi and should always
appear. To be precise, I am missing Task Launcher, Check for Updates,
Install New Software, Installation Details, and Eclipse Marketplace.
Needless to see this is going to create a problem to my day without all of
my plug-ins loading.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Steve Meisinger
