Hi Jason,

I uninstall and re-install all the time and when I see an error opening source it's generally that I forgot to add the license key.

While it's true that RDi comes with a 120 day trial, if you've ever had a trial installed, the trial period has ended (since the old one was 60 days). This includes older version of RDi.

Open installation manager and use the function "Manage Licenses". And add the license and restart RDi.

Hope this helps, if not please contact IBM support.

Steve Ferrell

Subject: [WDSCI-L] New install of RDi crashes when trying to edit a source member.

So my new developer started yesterday and RDi was working fine.

Today, however, she was editing a source member and RDi crashed. RDi would then not open. I tried a new workspace and at least we could get into RDi, but the old workspace was corrupt. Then trying to use the new workspace she could not edit a source member. Every time she would double click the member to open it, RDi would crash.

I removed and re-installed RDi and we're still seeing the same issue. Can someone point me to where a log file might be? That way I can at least see what is going on. Also has anyone experienced the same issue before? Keep in mind this install of Windows Java and RDi is brand new.

Thanks,

Jason E. Olson
