So, still in use today. I know the US Government/Military still uses Punch-cards TODAY. Not a lot, but still in usage.

Run ACS Scripts is great, just needs to be improve even more. It is still missing Code Assist for field names.
OH well, it works on Green Screen. We can prompt for field names.

A lot of "Punch-card-code" is still in wide usage Today. NO denying that.

Yup, more "great legacy". Also pointed out to me by the recently retired punch-card-lover. Why use **free, punch-card format still works today. Even for new code. Glad they retired.

I doubt there's any company still using punch cards.

Greg,

Who invented Punch-Cards, and still uses them today?

What software company has never used Punch-card formats?

It is not who invented it, but whom has built the better Mouse-Trap, or in our case; Better Software development tools.

Legacy does not impress me in the slightest... What have you done for Developers TODAY, Not 45 years ago. Just saying...

Now RDI is vastly superior to last Century SEU. No doubt about that. <Big Smile> in comparison, SEU is junk. Just as 1999 AS400 is JUNK as compared to IBM power system running IBM i. Last century to load a cross reference for all objects on the system took approximately 28-Hours! (Last Century). ON the IBM power system, it takes a little over 1-hour!

Microsoft Developers laughed at me, when Run ACS scripts came out, and I was dancing around saying. I NOW HAVE COLOR SYNTAX!!! WooHoo.

Our tools still need improvement, especially in the SQL Editors. Sorry, Microsoft wins with their SQL development tools. <Sad>
