This is the command that I use for launching RDi in English:

"C:\Program Files\IBM\SDP_096\eclipse.exe" -showlocation -data workspace -nl en

It works for me since WDSCi 7.0, which I launch with this command:

"C:\Program Files (x86)_IBM\SDP_070\eclipse.exe" -product com.ibm.etools.iseries.wdsc.welcome.ide -showlocation -nl en -data workspace

Both commands use parameter "-nl en" to switch to English.

Thomas.

Hi Peter,

Thank you for the advise. Sadly, adding this parameter causes RDi to
crash at startup.

Hi Arco,

I'm in the exact same situation: system language is English but iSphere
(and parts of RDi or that matter) is in Dutch (Belgian in my case).

The solution is to add a language flag to the target of your RDi startup
shortcut:

C:\Users\beq08608\IBM\SDP\eclipse.exe -product com.ibm.rational.developer.ibmi.product.ide
-nl EN_US

Subject: [WDSCI-L] Is it possible to change the language settings for
iSphere?

Hi,

After reinstallation of my computer I also reinstalled iSphere in RDi
9.6.0.5.
My Windows language and RDi setup are in English, only my windows system
locale is in Dutch. The context menus of iSphere now show up in Dutch, and
while I am Dutch... ehm I don't like that though ;-) I prefer to use all
tools in English.
However, I cannot find any language related setting in iSphere.

Anybody aware how to set iSphere to use English?

Thanks,
-Arco
