Back in June, Jon mentioned he had his set to 5.

I had to set mine to 5 to avoid timeouts. In my case I think it is the firewall/VPN that has a lower than usual timeout limit. I tried 15 but it still failed once or twice a day. At 5 it will sometimes remain alive for days at a time.

Yes I have solved it - but I'm danged if I can recall how. I will try and dig it out but I'm really tied up this week. In the meantime hopefully one of the IBMers on the list will be able to assist. Did you call IBM support?

I cannot find an equivalent setting on the Mac. I'm still on the High Sierra version of the OS. In searching a bunch of times on the Internet, all I find is a reference to having a bash script run on the Mac for keeping alive the connection to one's local WiFi! Hunh?

Help? Jon Paris? I'm sure you have solved this issue. Anyone else?
