If you open the copy books for editing the verifier should be able to see them.

In the days when I used Verifier (the Mac version does not have it) I used to face caching of those sources to make sure I could verify off-line/

Brian,

Cool tip! I did not know that!

Still got errors on the copy-books, but not the false module errors:

RNF0273 Compiler not able to open the /COPY or /INCLUDE file; directive ignored.
RNF7030 The name or indicator RTVSYSNAME is not defined.
RNF7503 Expression contains an operand that is not defined.

I am lazy, the Ctrl+Shift+C (compile) to recompile. And I do NOT submit off a new job for my compiles. So, basically, I get instant feedback! 1-5 seconds, depending on the size of the program.
<Joy Joy>

I let RDI do all the work, and show me my syntax errors. Especially with my fat finger typos! <Joy Joy>
When code assist works, that eliminates "most" of my typos! <Big Smile>

Now, the only problem with Cntrl+Shift+C (compile), is that it remembers your last compile command choice. Which I have become very cognizant of that! :)

So, if shift around between different compile types, CRTSRVPGM, CRTBNDRPG, CRTSQLRPI, CRTSQLRPI(*MODULE). I might use the short-cut key Alt+G to bring up the compile menu. And then select my compile type.

LOVE shortcuts keys!!!!! And it blows the Punch-Card-Fossil's mind!

Punch-Card-Lovers are still trying to get a "grip" on Cntrl+C=Copy & Cntrl+V=Past. Heck! I learn that LAST CENTURY! Back when the relic "AS400" was still manufacture. Yup, relics like the "400" still works like old DOS 3.1 machines. <big smirk>

Down to one remaining Punch-Card-Lover! WooHoo. Nothing against old people, I am OLD myself! :) I am one of the oldest IBM i Developers here. Older than directors, manager, and CIO. <smirk>

Ken, have you tried SOURCE > VERIFY PROMPT > GENERAL?

It allows you to try the Verify Mode - MODULE or PROGRAM. I think these "false errors" will not appear if you choose PROGRAM.

Brian.

When verifying my code for Modules, I love the Cntrl+Shift+V to verify. Works Great!

When verify a non-module, I also get the false error: "Keywords DftActGrp, ActGrp, or UsrPrf are not allowed.
