I meant to say I had already had the Categorized names indictors as "OFF" or "Uncheck" as the link show. <sorry>

I created PMR 68160,442,00 RDi 9.6.0.4 parser error keeps popping up.

I attached the ".log" file, which contains the errors. And the source code for the service program.

If needed, I would happily upload other files such as the copy-books and/or the entire work-space. If that would be helpful. Just let me know.

I already had the Categorized names indicators as Fields in the outline view. I had recently turned on the update of the outline view:

Hope this helps to diagnose this error. Luckily, it does NOT lock-up my RDI! <thumbs up>

Hi Ken,

please enter a PMR so we can confirm what your issue is.

The known issue dealing with copy/includes occurs where a named field is defined as an indicator (and none are defined in main), and the setting "Categorize named indicators as Fields in the outline view" is turned on.

The setting is under Remote Systems LPEX Editor > IBM i Parsers > ILE RPG > Categorize named indicator as Fields in the outline view.

Turning off the setting "Categorize named indicator as Fields in the outline view" should solve any immediate issues.

Subject: [WDSCI-L] RDi 9.6.0.4 Error parsing Service Program

Hi,

I am using RDi 9.6.0.4, and I am getting Parsing errors on my Service Program. Should I report this and/or open a PMR?

I use re-usable code in procedures and copy-books. And I am using many like defines too. So I guess this is known issue.

Sadly, the parsing error only shows Java Errors. And I do not get any "yellow markers" on my code. So, I have no clue why it is failing...

So far, the outline "seems" to work for my current analysis.

And yes, the code compiles and runs fine.

PS. Luckily, it does NOT seem to lock up LPEX! That is AWESOME! <thumbs up>
