Justin, there might be 3 kinds of compare - at least 2 I know of - the one you showed us gives changes before saving - very nice.

On the tool bar is a button with a Delta symbol on it - this lets you compare with another source member, and also has the colored rows for before and after.

In RSE you can select 2 members, right click, then there is a Compare with each other option - this is a side-by-side compare that I find really nice for text files - I don't use it much for source, but it can be done.

There might be another - can't remember just now.

When compare code, I sometimes notice code that I did not need to change, and I change it back...

And then I do a right-click to refresh, and it no longer shows a difference! Cool.

I normally use the LPEX Compare, because I like it and I am use to it. But, others use the Eclipse compare, which even shows more details.
