Well, I mostly use the iSphere compare, which uses the eclipse compare...

And I also use the Turnover-Plug-in, a change management system. Which allows me to select my compare options LPEX/ECLIPSE.

So, I am NOT super knowledgeable, but I will tell you ONE way to do an eclipse compare. Maybe other whom use the "Eclipse-compare" outside of the Vendor Plugins can tell about other ways...

1.) Highlight two members in Object table and or Remote system explorer
2.) Right-click
3.) Select "Compare with"
4.) submenu: "Each other"
