The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

There seems to be a bug in the Eclipse compare framework. I assume that
starting with Eclipse 4.6 (RDi 9.6), the "Swap Left and Right View"
button has been added to the Eclipse compare editor.
Now, under the following conditions, the editor does not get notified
when the document on the right side gets changed:
1) Select two source members and use the iSphere Compare Editor to open
them in "Edit" mode. The left member is opened in "edit" mode and the
right one in "browse" mode.
2) Click the "Swap Left and Right View" to mirror the members. (Right
member become left member and left member goes to the right right of the
view)
3) Apply a change to the member at the right side.
You will notice, that:
a) There is not "dirty" flag (asterisk) in the header title.
b) The "Save" buttons are still grayed out.
c) Closing the compare editor does not ask for saving the changes.
The problem only happens, when the initial left member is loaded for
editing and the right member is in browse mode. Therefore you cannot
reproduce the problem with IBM's compare editor, because that editor
opens both sides for editing.
I do not yet have an idea how to add a workaround for fixing the
problem. So the only advice I can give is not to use the "Swap Left and
Right View" button.

Thomas.
