I DO have the patch. (That was the original post in this thread)
I did a start RDi with -clean
I did NOT do a File Cache clear.
I will give this last step a shot.

You should open a PMR so you can get the patch.
Then:
1. Close all open edit sessions in RDI
2. Open the Preferences and clear the RSE file cache. To do this in the preferences go to panel Remote Systems > File Cache then click the Clear Cached Files button.
3. Close RDI
4. Modify the shortcut or menu action that you use to start RDI and add the parameter " -clean" (sans quotes) to the shortcut
5. Start RDI
6. Remove the modification from step 4 as this will tend to slow startup and is unnecessary in most cases.

My Java process in Windows 10 is at 1.16g. My Heap display shows 985 of 1024M.
Response is now sluggish.
Going to save my work and restart.

I displays in the status bar at the bottom of my window. I've had it there so long that I don't recall how I got it to show up.
There is also a "Garbage Collector" trashcan icon beside it.
Justin... how did IBM tell you to display that?

Greg, how do you see the heap size?
Thanks,

It helped. What seemed to make the biggest difference for me was clearing the RSE file cache and starting with "-clean" option (one time).
Thanks Mike @ IBM.
After that, heap size stayed small.

I was wondering if anyone who got ahold of the RDI 9.6.2 temporary fix path can say whether or not it solved their memory leak issues.
We have just installed the patches and I am about to give it a shot.
