The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
David,
That does appear to be a defect. Could you please enter a PMR?
Thanks!

Subject: [WDSCI-L] CPD6248 when prompting command PARM
Folks:
Anyone else encountering this?
I'm getting a CPD6248 'PROMPT text is not allowed for the CONSTANT parameter or if TYPE(*ZEROELEM) or TYPE(*NULL) is specified', in RDi 9.6 (and 9.5) when I prompt a PARM (in a command definition) where the parameter has a value for CONSTANT.
The line I'm prompting is ...
PARM KWD(MODE) TYPE(*CHAR) LEN(4) CONSTANT('*DSP')
The command compiles fine and can be prompted in SEU.
PMR time?
