I'm lucky to not have to deal with that currently. But, at a previous employer (pre RDi) where I had to switch applications, I wrote a command to set a library list based on a couple of options including using a job description library list.

I only have one LPAR, but I have multiple environments: Dev, QA, Test,
Prod.  Each environment has a separate library list.  I have a separate
RDi connexion for each environment / library list.
